If we need Council level clarifications, this is where we'll ask for them.

Remember that as Council members you also have access to the Coruscant Planet Power:
While Coruscant is under Jedi Control, you may vote out any Knight or Padawan. This is done similar to voting in the main thread, public to the council, but hidden from the rest of the Order. Vote in red for who you want to vote out. Vote in green to retract. Vote on this proboard.
I didn't want that to get lost in the PM I sent you.

Q: If a knight is on the council. Can we still protect them?
A: A knight ceases to be a knight once they are on the council. They become a Council Member, lose their knight abilities, and gain Council abilities.
So no, you can not protect a knight once they are on the council.

Q: Does every council member have their own list of replacements? Or is there just one list?
A: Every council member puts in their own list. Then they are compiled and replacements are chosen from that if a council member dies.
Example:
Council Member #1 list 1) dude 2) dudette 3) guy 4) gal 5) person
Council Member #2 list 1) person 2) other dude 3) dudette 4) gal 5) other person
The compiled rankings would be:
dude = 1+6(not on #2's list) = 7 dudette = 2 + 3 = 5 guy = 3 + 6 (not on #2's list) = 9 gal = 4 + 4 = 8 person = 5 + 1 = 6 other dude = 6 (not on #1's list) + 2 = 8 other person = 6(not on #1's list) + 5 = 11
If one council member died, dudette would be put on the council. If two council members died, dudette and person would be put on the council.

Check Blarney's post in the Successor's list thread, it clarifies the situation greatly. Basically, everyone that's put on a ranked list is considered. The person on the most lists with the highest collective rank is selected.

So, does the dead master's vote count for the promotion or do only the surviving masters vote?

The succession list is tallied up before the night starts and successors are pulled from that.
So dead masters' lists count.

Does putting people on the council remove any other special abilities they may already have?

Q: Does this game have vote minipulation? If a tie is caused from vote minipulation who is responsable for it (dies). The person with the vote minip or the person who placed the last vote and doesn't know about the vote minipuation?
A: CD
